This story baffled me over and over again, so I want to relay it to you. This is the story of a regular Finnish man : Simo Hayha.
He was born on 1925, in Finland. He was just a hunter, killing prey to support his family through harsh winters.
Then in 1939, the Winter War broke out. The Russians stormed into Finland, killing many civilians. The Finnish, outnumbered 2 to 1 lost quickly. Many of them gave up, except for our guy. He began his duty as a sniper. He fought in "Kollaa River", in temperature between -40 to -20 degrees Celsius in completely white camouflage. White reflects the light coming from the sun, so he doesn't absorb as much heat as his fellow soldiers. But this caused him to be invisible. Everyday, the Finnish snipers would have to "account" how many they killed each day,and Simo reached a whooping 5 per day. That means he killed a total of 505 soldiers in his service.
His main armament was a hunting rifle. The same he used hunting deer and wolves. He didn't use a sniper scope, preferring "iron sights" because the glare coming from the reflection coming from the sun to the scope could give away his position.
He was nicknamed the White Death by the Russians, and they tried so many times to kill him. They tried counter-snipers and even artillery strikes. They had their soldiers walk in giant lines through forests to try to find him. On March 6, 1940 he got shot in the head. He did not die, but half his head was missing. They let him retire, but he still decided to fight for his country. After the war, he hunted deer with the Finnish president. He died in 1998, and when asked if he regretted killing all those people, he just said: They were threatening my country, I only did my duty.
Even after getting shot, he still fought for his country. And when others gave up, he still fought. That is a true soldier.

Requirements Everywhere!
I have to do a Drafting Project by the end of the week, and I have several long tests in between. Right after that, we have our Periodic Exams! But after that, we have a gimmick to Eastwood, so that is something I can look forward to after this "hell week". =))))
Some funny horse trivia:
1.) An average horse weighs nearly one-half of a ton, and its brain is just the size of a potato!
2.) A horse poops about 12 times a day
3.) Horses don't throw up (or sideways?)
4.) Most of the time, horse point the ears when they are looking.
5.) Horses lock their muscles in their legs when they go to sleep, so that they can sleep standing up and not fall over!
6.) A horse's hoof is analogous to the human fingernail, so technically, horses stand on their middle fingers!
